Colour Fall is an abstract interpretation of the abundance of life in water – the myriad colourful marine forms, the ripples, the currents, the reflections, the transparency and opaqueness, the forever changing face of moving water.

Colour Fall is a multi-layered three dimensional painting. The material is the actual paint, which is a resin mixed with pure pigments. The natural transparency of the resin is manipulated by the addition of opaque and transparent pigments to create a translucent effect similar to that produced by stained glass. Texture has been added to simulate ripples of water and refractions of light.

Colourfall was reconfigured as a stand-alone work in 2013.
